Helsinki live report

gazette_fansThis is not going to be a very coherent or detailed live report. ;) My brain just don't work like that. And I'm still all flaily over having seen the GazettE live, breathed the same sweaty air as them! :D
Anyway, Finland was a bit colder than Sweden, and even though wearing a fairly thick jacket I was so far gone with cold from standing in the line for 4 hours in 6°C that I was just completely introverted. :( It passed once we got inside though. After we'd been given our VIP passes and left jackets and bags in the coat room, we got to the merch table, and I had no idea what I wanted. I did want a poster, but I was certain it wouldn't survive the concert. So, in the end I bought a hoodie, and that was it. Tied it around my waist, and we went in to get some kind of not-too-bad spot. one of the staff that were standing on the side watching the merch-craze looked really familiar, and I soon realized I'd seen him on the Melt DVD, protecting Ruki when he ventured out into the crowd during Kantou. :)
Then we waited again, and I was doing my best to not fall asleep while standing up. That's what getting up at 5am does to me... It was kind of funny how everyone cheered whenever a tech or other staff moved around on the stage. It looked like Aoi's guitar tech was having some trouble with one guitar, because he was there for a really long time! (And yeah, I saw him during the first song as well next to Aoi, doing some adjustments then too. I guess that must have killed the mood a bit for Aoi. He doesn't like equipment troubles.)
I'd like to be able to say that I could see the guys walk onto stage, but in all truth, all I could see was arms. LOL I was maybe six rows back between Uruha and Ruki, maybe slightly more on Uru's side, and there were a bunch of tall people at the front. So, arms! And then I saw Uruha, and OMG!!!! *fans self*
Uruha is absolutely stunning in person. Even more beautiful than he is in magazines and on DVDs, and I don't even know how that works! That man does not need even a little bit of photoshop to be perfect! And he's so masculine too! The muscles in his shoulders and arms, his lovely, big hands with those nimble fingers flying over the neck of the guitar, the happiest smile I've ever seen, and eyes that glitter with joy. So much unf that I can't even describe it!
And Ruki, oh gods, Ruki! The next person I see that says that Ruki is short, I'll fucking punch in the face! There is nothing short about Ruki! He stepped onto the stage and his presence just filled the room! He's so hot! And his movements... so graceful! The growl... hearing it on DVDs doesn't do it justice, at all! His voice is all dark and gravelly, and so fucking sexy!
They played some of my favorite songs, and after the concert, I still had no idea what the songs were or in what order they played them. LOL But I was so happy to get Cockroach because I adore that song, as well as Ruder! I didn't pay so much attention to what they played as the fact that I was there, getting to see glimpses of them through the arms. ;) When I didn't lean to one side to see Uruha (which was most of the time) and Kai behind him, I leaned the other way to watch Ruki being awesome.
I did see Ruki licking his microphone, and I think I may have moaned when he bit the mic cable... *g* I strained to see Aoi do his trademark backbend/guitar lift, so yay! I saw that! When Uruha and Aoi played together during one of the songs, Uruha leaned back so adorably against Aoi, tilting his head back... mmmmmmmmm...
Sadly, I was being pushed away and separated from my friends after three songs, and then I had to fend for myself. At one point it was really annoyingly scary, because everyone at the front were leaning backwards, and I had nowhere to put my feet underneath me, so I was so close to falling backwards. People behind me just would not let me put my feet anywhere so I would have any balance. :( And I've never had so many armpits shoved in my face in my entire life before! LOL The perils of being on the short side... There was also this person in front of me who intercepted all mugs of water that were handed back in our area (three) and drained them all. She didn't pass a single one of them on. :( That's really rude and inconsiderate! I get it that you're hot and parched, but dammit, so are everyone else too! You take one sip and pass it on! >:(
Anyway. It was brilliant and awesome, and downright... glorious! I will never forget Uruha's smile and his sexy hands, Ruki's pouty mouth and beautiful face, and Kai's sunny smile when they came in for the encore. They looked so happy, all of them! :D
Meetingmatchst_ck was so nice too! She's really funny and awesome, and she had already scouted out where the venue was and met us at our hotel so she could guide us there! :) This trip would not have been this smooth and easy if it weren't for all my friends (one_short_fuse, zabimitsuki, and matchst_ck)!!! ♥
